Mini update, really. After tooling up the lathe a little more and getting some more practice in, I've made a first set of jaws. I ended up making several of the male side first, getting quite a bit more efficient, but until today I didn't have a tailstock chuck for the center-drilling. They're not the work of a pro, and the dimensions may need to be tweaked, but I think they might be serviceable. Next up, unbox and set up the MIG welder I bought a while back

Possibilities include but are not limited to: bad washer clutch, loose rotor nut, bad bearing in gearbox. If memory serves this washer "clutch" is more of a shifter that's cable driven and that cable could stretch preventing full shifting. It's function is to lock the agitator to the basket for spin and to disengage for agitate. It could also be coming from a failing drain pump but that's hard to determine from this video.

If you're handy and tech oriented flip the machine and look for the tech sheet or it might be inside the console look at youtube to find out how then run diagnostic or calibrate it...

Kenmore Refrigerator Model Number - 10659212990 water inlet valve - 2206123 is one of several part numbers I've found water not flowing into ice maker : I have an old Kenmore from around 2000…The plastic chute that delivers the water to the ice maker keeps freezing over without ice being made. Water in door doesn’t work either (but I ONLY care about the ice part if that matters). I want to replace the water inlet valve but because its so old, there’s only one or two on the internet for ridiculous prices. It’s a triple solenoid type originally made by WP I think - I bought a similar triple solenoid model on amazon thinking I could make it work. I think it might have, but at the end one solenoid had wider metal connector tabs than the connector coming from the fridge so I couldn’t connect it. There must be an alternative solution besides buying bags of ice! Any help is greatly appreciated I'm attaching a pic showing the original on the left, and the new triple solenoid I bought that doesn't fit - in case anyone wants to see...

You may have gookus(technical term for nasty, unwanted blockage) in the pressure switch hose, or the air dome in the tub. If that doesn't help, it's the control board. Disassembly will be something like this: I

My Whirlpool Cabrio washer randomly starts to drain. I’ve had the washer for 3 weeks, came with the house, and twice now while not in use, no lights on control panel, no water in the tub it starts draining. It drains for about 60-90 seconds, stops for 30 seconds and then drains again for another 60-90 seconds then stops. Is this normal? Is this the way this washers works? Thanks

As the title says, there's an abnormal noise that occurs frequently (but not always) during the spin cycle. It doesn't seem to change with the size of the load. Washer is just over a year old (of course!). Attached video. Any ideas? PXL_20250214_200016260.TS.mp4 Thanks!

I had a GE dryer a month or two back that had experienced a power surge that reset the personality. Maybe check and see if the personality for the board is mismatched for the model?
