Repairman had trouble getting heating element off old GE Potscrubber 940 dishwasher - I believe he had to cut heating element off, connector was different on the replacement one if I remember correct. When he was done, he had to patch a hole in the permatuf bottom, well, it has started to leak. The repairman is going to text me the name of the stuff he used, but I am wondering if there is a better product to use, or suggestions. I assume replacing the permatuf bottom would be tough, unless I could find an old donor machine, and not sure how difficult the job would be. When I removed the bottom panel and watched it run, water was dripping off the plastic cover over the heating element connectors - unto the metal box housing the power connection, so the GFI has been tripping when this area gets wet enough. Circuit breaker has not been tripping. I took some pics, looks like area that needs sealing is simply around where the heating element goes into the permatuf bottom, right now he has some grey stuff applied around the circular opens. I was considering using Sugru moldable glue, which is supposed to be dishwasher safe, good for 356 degrees, or something like that - shockproof - or is there something better for this type of repair?

Seems to be too old to pull up a wiring diagram. Tech sheet was 941869 though!
