Classic case—your Samsung WA55A7300AE likely has a failing bearing or worn drive pulley, both known weak points on these models. The intermittent squealing usually means early bearing wear or belt slippage. It happening regardless of load size backs that up. Since it’s just out of warranty (of course...), I’d recommend pulling the back panel and checking for belt wear or looseness first; bearings require more work and tools.

Just realized model number was wrong, GC21200W

Posted a few years ago about needing my gas safety valve rebuilt, got that done - I have read thermostats operate differently on smaller gas ranges, but though my baked stuff has turned out okay, seems like thermostat overshoots a lot, and I notice that when I try turning the thermostat down from 350 - to 300 - to 250 - 200 - the dial thermometer I have towards the front of the rack doesn't show the temp going down, and when I pull the broiler door open the flame is still burning on the burner itself - Premier's parts number catalogs don't seem to go that far back, nor repair parts places, one poster stated the part number seems like ti may be incorrect, part missing - Premier doesn't have a thermostat for this, but they made standing-pilot 24" Premier stoves until recently, I would think there should be a cross reference where some of these would work. I am going to try to disassemble the range thermostat to get a pic of it, TOAC stated they may be able to rebuild it, but normally it is a bit too new for them to be able to do that? Thoughts?

Success! well, sort of. I've got one prototype made, ready for testing. Figure I'll throw it in the toolbag, try it out for a while, see if I have any notes. The action of the base pliers is so much better than the KP-2s, but I can't take credit for that piece of the puzzle; The "Masterbilt" or "Masterbuilt" pliers that I bought 2 of are allegedly mfg'd by Irwin, who I believe makes Vise-Grips. I originally ordered 2 Vise-Grips from Tooltron Industries, who claimed to offer a bulk discount on Vise-Grips, but after I placed my order they emailed saying they were actually out of stock, suggested substituting these. And they feel great in the hand. I'm not going to worry about nickel plating the heat affected zone yet; I'm pretty sure I'll grow out of these or want to make some changes before they rust, but nickel electroplating is still the long-term goal

Mini update, really. After tooling up the lathe a little more and getting some more practice in, I've made a first set of jaws. I ended up making several of the male side first, getting quite a bit more efficient, but until today I didn't have a tailstock chuck for the center-drilling. They're not the work of a pro, and the dimensions may need to be tweaked, but I think they might be serviceable. Next up, unbox and set up the MIG welder I bought a while back
