Personality Codes...Where do you find them?
MrApplianceMatt replied to srmophett's topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
It should be listed in the tech sheet taped to the inside of the washer, otherwise, here's a breakdown I found... https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1254374/Ge-Htw200ask_ww.html?page=44 -

Working on a GE top load washer Model # GTW460ASJ9WW serial #LL142320G. I have seen some say the personality number is 11 on this model and also seen some that said it was a 3. Anyone have any idea what personality number this washer may be. It would check something off my troubleshooting list if any one knows. I have checked it on the service mode and it appears as three. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Bosch Siemens washer analog pressure switch / sensor adjustment
JohnSeeley replied to JohnSeeley's topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
Been researching this type of pressure switch far and wide and came up empty. (I bought another pressure switch from Bosch just in case- different design, with a factory-set adjustment screw under the housing which is held on with 3 tabs.) I'm going to try to make the tube longer. The nipple on the pressure sensor measures about 7/32" (.217"-.218") so that tells me 3/16" ID tubing will work with a 3/16" barbed connector. Just trying to figure out where do I put the slop so it doesn't chafe or get in the way. The original tubing is this black rubber star-shaped tubing, but I will extend (and not alter) with standard vinyl tubing. -

LG DLGX2502V Dryer Keeps Tripping Thermal Limiter Fuse
lou123 posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
I have an LG DLGX2502V dryer that just started tripping thermal fuse. I disassembled the exhaust duct work and cleaned it, though it was not very bad at all. I reassembled and ran it on air dry just to check exhaust flow, good exhaust at outside vent baffle. Still no heat, found the thermal limit fuse, was able to reset it and it ran, gas came on, and it seemed to be heating up fine. Shut it off, later on added wet clothes and ran it. Limit switch tripped again. Bad limit switch? What should I check. Thanks in advance. -

Whirlpool WTW4816FW3 washer sounds like a jet engine
Appliance Fixer 68 replied to Appliance Fixer 68's topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
I have a newer Whirlpool washer, model WTW4816FW3, that is very loud on the spin cycle and sounds like a jet taking off. It’s not banging and it’s not extremely off balance but when the spin cycle is very loud. No other issues, it’s just loud on the spin cycle. I purchased this machine in 2023. Every time I do laundry it’s very loud on the spin cycle. -

Whirlpool WTW4816FW3 washer sounds like a jet engine
Appliance Fixer 68 posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
My fairly new Whirlpool WTW4816FW3 washer that I bought new in 2023 has became very loud on the spin cycle - sounds like a jet engine. Any ideas on what this can be? When it spins it’s extremely loud and sounds like a jet is taking off in the house. Still seems to run fine otherwise, just very loud. Washer is only a year old so can I get a warranty? I didn’t buy extended warranty. -
Follow up question to old Kenmore Refrigerator water inlet valve
lrubin28 posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
Kenmore Refrigerator model 10659212990. Water inlet valve 2206123. I bought a replacement water inlet valve 2206123. ...it's a triple solenoid model for a kenmore 10659212990. The incoming water supply goes to the brass nut - easy. But that's where I get confused. There's another solenoid (green) with a 1/4" port. I think this would go to the ice maker, and that's a 1/4" line that I can see running up the back of the fridge. So if I'm right, that knocks out 2 of the 5. So now I have 3 open ports on the 2206123 and they all appear to be 5/16". Coming from the fridge, there are 3 tubing lines bundled together before disappearing inside the fridge. 2 of them are 5/16" and the other is 1/4". How do I identify which tube goes into which port of the valve? (Unfortunately there are no documents on back of fridge or under front grate). It's an old fridge and no one seems to have any info on it. I'd appreciate it greatly if someone could help me out. Do I need to take the fridge apart to see where each of the 3 lines go? Hopefully not...thank you in advance...
