Whirlpool Front Load Washers Service Bulletin: Tearing Clothes

Concern:

Some reported issues of clothes damage during wash.

Cause:

Under certain situations, large loads and some clothing types may contact the bellows, possibly causing clothes damage and premature wear to bellows.

Correction:

IMPORTANT: Always replace the bellows when exchanging the curved glass with the flat glass. Replacing the curved glass in the door assembly with a flat glass will reduce the possibility of clothes contacting the bellows. This modification will improve the life of the bellows and reduce the possibility of damage to clothes.

When ordering the replacement bellows, verify part number in IPL to the model being serviced.
