This is an example of how the manufacturer's need to tell us certain things about the algorithm (software) running the microprocessor that are relevant to our troubleshooting. Here's a screenshot from a Fast Track (tech sheet) for a Samsung refrigerator. This info is on page 2 of the Fast Track. Everything they are explaining concerns the microprocessors algorithm for handling things like DC fan motors, heart release ice maker, and how the ice maker can affect the freezer temperature. These decisions and actions are all determined and executed by the microprocessor on the main board executing its software program.
