Have you cleaned your dryer's lint filter lately?

An actual photo and conversation from a recent service call. This dryer was getting hot but not drying. There was hardly any air blowing out the back vent port on the dryer. This is what I found when I checked the lint filter. The customer didn't even know the lint filter was there and it had never been cleaned since the dryer was bought.
