  2. Model No: 596.73502203 Hi, I posted this help request at another appliance repair forum for about three weeks now and there was no response. I am hoping you can help me. My refrigerator's bottom tray (manual calls it Gourmet Pantry) freezes vegetables stored on the back left side only. I have noticed this for a several months now. There is a temperature control for this tray and it is set at the highest setting (bottom of slider control). What is causing this and how do I fix it? Some information in case it help: This fridge was stored unplugged in the garage for two years and I took it up to use it again last year. I don't recall any freezing problems when I used the fridge before storing it in the garage. There is an icemaker for this model and it is in the freezer. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

  4. Wish I could. I have a big trove of Viking schematics and service manuals from before we stopped doing wty svc for them, but nothing close to that model. Amazing how many different model naming schemes they seem to have.
  5. RVGR3305 Viking looking for service manual

Someone here at Appliantology has to do Viking warranty. Help a brotha out?
  6. Thanks anyone who can help out You gotta love thees companies who act like they have some super secret innovations. China’s already stolen their designs anyway. Did their warranty for 20yrs May have to revisit that relationship
  7. In the freezer compartment...the Evaporator Coils can form a localized section of odd looking frost/ice accumulation if there's problem with Sealed System (refrigeratant leak/failing compressor etc). In the compressor compartment ("engine room")...the Condenser Coils can become dirty...with dust/dirt/hair etc. Your symptom seems to indicate a "Sealed System" problem. I would ask for an exchange...if that is possible.
  8. Do fridge coils freeze up if they are dirty like window acs will if the filter is out and there is a lot of dust on them?
  9. We are still paying the lowes bill for the one that died again. If i cant figure it out, the store i bought it from may take it back. We've bought a lot of stuff from her the last few years
  10. RVGR3305 Viking looking for service manual

Awwite, lemme scratch around some more and see what I can find. Meanwhile, if anyone else has this, it would be awesome if you would upload it to the Downloads section!
  11. No this is a newer unit it is DSI unit. All electronic control for oven similar to VDO wall oven control system. I believe built in 2013
  12. RVGR3305 Viking looking for service manual

I *think* the open burner manual should apply to this one. Check it out and lemme know:

No service manual on this one -- just a tech sheet. But I included the parts manual, too. You might be able to get some clues about disassembly from that.

  17. Hi Looking for the service manual for a whirlpool wall oven model gmc275pdb6. The microwave part just looks like a countertop unit but I dont see how to take it apart for service. Thanks for your help!
  18. If you have to move settings to coldest you definitely have a problem. Buying used refrigerators is risky.
  19. Water leak Kenmore 106.74254401

Had a call for a washer leaking, but not every time it ran. Ran it and looked all over for the leak. Could not see any signs of a leak in the cabinet. If I shined my light just right I could see the old water trace on the floor. I followed it behind the dryer to the pantry. Found an unopened water jug that was starting to collapse. It was not leaking at the time. The customer made a good observation. It only leaked depending on what the barometric pressure was since it was still sealed.
  20. Just bought this used appliance, as my other fridge blew a control board for the second time within 3 years. Let me see if i can see anything under fridge. Temps seem okay if fridge and freezer controls are set on coldest settings.
  21. Does not sound like good news. How are the temperatures in both freezer and fresh food compartment? Borderline cold? Refrigerator running all the time? The origin of the "leak"...may be coming from heavy frost/ice forming on the refrigerant line/tubing at the rear of the refrigerator...which melts and causes wet floor...freezes again...melts again. Can you move the refrigerator...inspect the compressor compartment? Has the compressor been replaced under warranty previously?
  22. Fridge is a model FRS26H5ASB3 no ice or water in the bottom of fridge or freezer. Ice forming on vent in top left of fridge where air blows in from freezer. Argh!
  23. Water leak Kenmore 106.74254401

Point of information for you if it turns out your defrost drain is clear and your scratching your head I have a little story of a job I had gone to when I first started. I had a call that there was water in the bottom of the fridge below the crisper draws and on the top shelf in the back. I emptied out the top of the fridge and could see the water on the top shelf in the back. I thought it was definitely a frozen drain line. It turned out not to be a frozen drain line and it was draining fine in the defrost cycle. I'm scratching my head like Oh man ! where is this water coming from . I started to put things back into the fridge and then when I picked up the brita filtered water container that I placed on the counter from the fridge, there was water all on the counter top under the water container. Apparently there was a tiny crack in the container which was not leaking when you picked it up. It only leaked when it was placed down on a surface. Go figure. After that I always checked the items in the fridge first for possible leaks. Just something for you to consider when you go to a leaking fridge call.
  24. Yes. Ice in freezer (bottom) indicates blocked defrost drain. Unlikely that the drain pan has cracked. Will wait for your update.
  25. I'll check when I get home from work. If there is ice in the bottom of the freezer, I need to defrost the drain tube? If no ice in the bottom of the freezer, I need to check the drain pan, see if it is cracked?
