Viking VGRC365-6BDSS. Six burners (middle two are covered by a griddle).
Turn on left-front (LF) burner: gas flow, no spark. (Used to work fine for past 10 years; this is a new problem)
Turn on left-rear (LR) burner: gas flow, spark, flame. OK
Turn on LF, and then also turn on LR burners: BOTH light. Can then turn off LR, and LF stays lit.
How to troubleshoot this? Or is it as simple as bad ignitor module (P/N?)?
Other 4 burners are working fine.
Thanks!
David
I noticed that my Maytag Advance Cooking System Gas Range MGS5870ADB bake function was not working. I opened it up to see that the ignitor was not glowing at all. I removed it and tried a new ignitor (which looks identical) but that did not glow either. I tested both with digital multi-meter and they both have continuity. The range is getting electricity - the oven light and electric sparkers for burners are working. How do I find out why the ignitors are not going on and how to I fix that? I am not sophisticated at all in my understanding of appliances, electricity, or even how to use the mutli-meter - which I just got.
