  1. Haven't posted for some years so hope I'm asking for help in the right forum. I did an old Maytag washer stem and seal replace with Appliantology's help some years ago. My carrier central AC 38CKC030-301 compressor isn't engaging. When it's working I can hear the gas running through the copper tube to the drying filter to my condenser in the plenum. Not a sound now and outside only the cooling fan is running. Don't hear the compressor running at all. I'm told I can check some small parts like a relay for capacitor. Can anyone confirm this or refer me to a manual for troubleshooting? Thanks so much, Frank
