GE Washer Mod. GTW680BSJ1WS Lid Lock/Recirculation Pump Curiosity

Greetings, Purchased a GTW680BSJ1WS model GE washer at a charity sale that had a known lid lock issue (mechanically defective). I put the unit into diagnostic mode to get a better picture of other functions and found the recirculation pump circuit had no 120V output from the board. Drain pump worked but not recirc pump. I replaced the lid lock (just the lock assembly, not wiring or strike) and the recirculation pump circuit reappeared. Any insights into this phenomenon? I had assumed the board was defective but obviously was incorrect. Is there some shared circuit between the lid lock and recirc pump? I am working on another GE front load washer and am encountering  what looks like a similar issue (no output to door lock). Has anyone else encountered this issue and is it common to late made GE washers. Thanks in advance for your responses. Sincerely, Jayh
