CAE2745FQ0 Whirlpool Washer - https://www.partselect.com/Models/CAE2745FQ0/

Replaced an unresponsive control board with a refurb unit and ran through a calibration and then diagnostic mode. Everything seems fine except the lid lock wont engage. Got a replacement lid lock and installed it, ran machine through calibration again and still cant seem to get it to lock. I can run through any diagnostics you guys suggest but I'm totally stumped. The next things I was going to do was change the small wiring hardness that goes from the new board to the new lid lock but short of that I have no idea whats going on. Any suggestions you have would be great.

Thanks

So I got it into diagnostic mode and ran what the manual listed as Lid lock test the cold water began to run. When i ran the next command which was run cold water the hot began to run. Its like every entry was one off from what I anticipated. Most of the functions wouldn't run at all because they depended on the lid locking so it would just flash at me.

I did not replace the lid strike (pictures attached) but can do that if you think its a good idea. It doesn't have an tension on it or anything. It can sort of play back and forth as needed. Not sure what its supposed to feel like.

pretty sure it is supposed to be spring loaded its not supposed to flap around like nothing that's the issue.
