Two part question:

1. This model is made in MX and sold in Costa Rica. I read here that the model # can be converted to an American #. Can someone please tell me how to do that?

2. The machine fills, but will not start the washing cycle and dumps the water as soon as that cycle should begin. It also does not show indicators for all available cycles - as if there is an issue with the knob controls. Can anyone tell me what parts might be needed and the most likely place to purchase (in the US)? Any advice greatly appreciated.
