  11. Hello all, I have been wrestling a GE Monogram ZISW420DRA side by side fridge for about 8 months now with the same problem... everything works fine (after a manual defrost & part replacement) until the freezer gets too cold (-10) and the fridge gets too warm (47)... this has happened multiple times at multiple intervals. i've replaced: evaporator fan motor, defrost heater, defrost heater thermistor, all thermistors in fridge and freezer and the main control board. This happened to me again this past weekend and so i decided "let's replace some more parts", with 1 of which being the i

  18. Greetings, My sister has a relatively new (18 months old) GE Gas Range (Model# PCGS930SEL2SS) and back in October it started exhibiting this issue where the oven would come on, up to temp and then would shutdown / not stay on and keep the oven at temp. Because the oven was past the 1 year warranty, she ended up dealing with a local appliance repair company and 3 visits later, and more than $800 out of her own pocket things are no further ahead. Reaching out to both the company she purchased from, and to GE have so far, not resulted in any action. Searching both this forum and via go

  20. How do I change the tension rods on these? I had to abandon a job today because I couldn’t figure it out please help part number WH16X26911
  21. There was smoke coming from the back of the GE profile P S978S T1SS. I opened up the back and replaced burnt control board. Now both stoves work but not even one surface element is heating up while the appearance of the controls is right. I mean the selection of the element works and the heat setting works. Just no heat 😒. I checked two safety bimetal things under the control panel. Both show closed (no open). There must be a circuit directing the power to the surface elements common to them all but I can't find it. Can someone point me to the right place?
  22. GTDP280ed2ww. I have checked thermal fuse, belt switch, door switch, timer, start switch, and checked for correct voltage. I was unable to test the timer resistor. How much resistance should it be showing? Would that cause the dryer not to start? Thanks.
