  1. I have a GE Washing Machine (WPRE8150H0WT) that has been noisy and today stopped spinning. I thought the belt must have broken. I opened up the front and found the belt had fallen off and was sitting in the bottom of the housing. It is worn but not broken. I want to make sure I buy the right parts to fix this. No matter what I'm getting a new belt and I think i need the Shaft And Tube Asm (also seems to be called the Shaft/Mode shift assembly). I have several pictures and short descriptions below. All help appreciated. The driven pulley is no longer in line with the motor pulley. It appears that the driven pulley has moved lower but I'm not sure why. The offset in the picture is not from the camera angle; the big pulley is significantly lower than the motor pulley. More Info below this picture I also see what looks like a metal wire wrapped around the shaft directly above the driven pulley. More Info Below this picture I also found a broken plastic ring and a single ball that looks like it came from a ball bearing in the bottom. More Information below this picture. There is a gap below the wash tub and the Shaft/Mode Shift Assembly looks like is is siting lower than usual.

  5. Hello all, We have the GE dishwasher listed in the subject, purchased in Jan 2017. A few months ago the adhesive for the metal bracket that attaches to the stainless steel interior gave and broke loose. Unfortunately it now sags and interferes with the top rack drawer. We have called GE and although it is obviously a craftsmanship flaw, their warranty is only one year and they want $125 for a service call, $125/ hr for Labor. My wife attempted to superglue it when it first happened, but it only held for a few days. I then tried JB weld, which didn’t work- I think there’s too much vibration. It looks like it was some adhesive they used to attach it- doesn’t look like a weld or anything. I figured it must be something special to deal with the vibration. Does anyone know how the bracket can be reattached? photo here: https://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/ge-dishwasher-gdt695ssj0ss-jet-bracket-issue.73347/#post-368913

  16. We troubleshot a GE Advantium Speedcooker from the control board for a no convection bake problem and determined that either the convective heating element or the TCO had failed open. Testing each component individually required uninstalling the oven with special equipment. So on our second visit, we returned with both parts-- the convection heating element and the TCO. The specific failure turned out to be the non-resettable TCO that had failed open. Watch how I used the schematic to select strategic voltage and current measurements needed to identify the problem. We did all our troubleshooting from the control board without uninstalling the oven. Doing it this way allowed us to diagnose the problem with minimal disassembly. We half-split the problem between the control board and the heating circuit and fixed the problem on the second trip when we returned with the parts. Troubleshooting electric circuits is easy and fun if you know how to read schematics and understand basic electricity! 20. Hello, any help would make me a hero. Original problem - two year old dishwasher just stopped working. No lights, no nothing. Solution - I ordered a new control board like this one https://partsdr.com/part/wd21x24798-control-board I installed it an the lights came on! New Problem When I press start, it just beeps two times. What I have tried: Cut power and wait 10 minutes - no change CONSUMER ERROR MODE :Press and hold the Cycle Select and Start pads simultaneously for 5 seconds.- this showed me door was properly closed. weird thing is that after all the lights went out that indicated door was properly shut, I was able to press start and it ran through a whole cycle. BUt still will not start. I think either have a defective part, or this board somehow needs to be synced to the machine somehow, and I though cutting the power would accomplish that. Any Suggestions? Thanks!
