  10. We've been selling our custom oven keypad replacement solution online for about nine months now and have run into this problem many times: The customer doesn't feel confident enough to install the part themselves. We have created pretty thorough installation manuals complete with detailed, high res photography to instruct them in what we already believe is a fairly simple operation. Nevertheless, appliance control parts appear to be intimidating to the average homeowner. Our product - The LinkBox: a small electronic module (typically half the size of an OEM control board) that installs on the backside of an oven touchpad next to the OEM control board. The module has a mounting bracket on it that mates with the mounting bracket for the OEM control board. It comes with a ribbon cable and two leads for L1 and N. The ribbon cable connects to the OEM control board in place of the OEM panel's ribbon cable. The L1 and N leads terminate in piggy-back terminals (or a special adapter depending on which model appliance the customer has) and are to be connected in parallel with incoming power to the OEM control board. It ships with a 7" tablet that will automatically boot into the user interface and establish a Bluetooth connection with the LinkBox when powered on. And that's it. When the customer wants to have this installed by a tech, we will refer them to you, and you can charge them a typical install fee or whatever you want! But it sounds like you get $50-$100 and a happy customer for about 10 minutes of work. At this moment, we are looking for techs in the following areas: Las Vegas, NV Maxton, NC Please let us know if you can help! -BoardFruit, Inc.

  15. Experienced an odd problem with our 2 year old GE washer when after the tank emptied properly, after the Wash Cycle, the drum began to Spin continuously while the Rinse Cycle was filling the tub. Normally, after emptying the wash water the drum slowly spins to a stop while the rinse water fills the tub and then starts the Rinse Cycle. The spinning was not the highest speed but it finally began throwing water out of the tub area and onto the floor, which I quickly noticed and pushed the washer control button to stop the rinse fill operation. I then rotated the control knob to several different wash cycle setting positions (this one has 3 wash settings for Cottons, Colors and Light Casual) - and on pulling the knob to start, it would immediately start to Spin - no matter if it was on Start Wash Cycle, Rinse Fill Cycle or Spin Cycle. I was finally able to get the Cotton - Rinse Spin to drain the tank and was going to do some more testing this morning; but I wanted to post to the forum before starting in case anyone had experience with type of issue. One thing I should mention... The day before, we washed 4 bathroom rugs - small ones for stepping out of the tub and for the front of the vanity/commode. The only thing I'm wondering is if the rubber backing on these specific rugs was coming off in pieces in wash. I don't know if GE Washers uses any kind of Fill Control tube that might've gotten obstructed with pieces of the rubber backing but I know that caused some issues with our older Maytag Washer some years ago. Reason I mention is that the Washer had been working normally prior to that last load of bathroom rugs... Thanks for your consideration and suggestions. greynold99
  16. My 2.5 year old GE washer won't fill the tub. It runs for a second several times, like it always has, but then instead of filling the tub with water, it goes straight into the wash mode. It might put a little water in there, but not enough to cover the clothes. Both hot and cold valves are turned on. It doesn't matter which laundry size I select and hitting the "Deep Fill" button does nothing, except turn the light on. I'm thinking water level sensor. What kind of fix is that? Thanks!
