All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

what happened to the Google Search ?

It was better than the Forum Search

(but not as good as the "old forum" Google Search)

I have to agree that the search is strange and inconsistent, if you type in "dependable care" - sometimes it will render nothing - at other times it will list all posts with those words in it - other times it will just show basically the same content as the forum index. Does it have a "learning" feature ?

The Google search is in the sidebar of the homepage. Which one are you saying is inconsistent: the native search or the Google search?

The Google search is in the sidebar of the homepage.

I don't see it ..

haven't seen it in a week or two ...

oohhh.. I had to click on that little arrow for that column to appear

Really!? Go to Appliantology.org. It's on the RHS. Just below it are the Facebook, Twitter, as RSS buttons.

Can you post a screen shot of what you see as the forum homepage? I'll do the same when I'm back at my desktop later tonight.

yea, but if you click that x on the right, that column disappears...

As it should-- that gives you the option to hide the column. If you don't want it to go away, don't click the X! :P

As with everything on this site, it's understated and easy enough to happen. Were you able to get it back?

Yes, I have found the google search as well - it works ok, it was the native search that is inconsistent (the one on the bar with forums/members/subscriptions etc. I will just use the google search now
