LG Model # LRFC25750TT refrigerator

I unplugged my refrigerator for a few days to clean it and now both the fridge and the freezer temperatures read either 000 or 888 not sure but, both the Celsius and Fahrenheit options are lit.  I tried unplugging it to reset it or pushing temp. up or down buttons and nothing happens, when I first plug it in after the reset attempts it beeps in a series of 3 with no other codes but the temp reading don't change.  Any recommendations on this issue? I thank you in advance for any input you can offer.

Serial Number?

Looking at the Control Panel---is it possible that what is displayed/illuminated is actually---"Er" in one display and "FF" in the other display?

Was the refrigerator unplugged for a few days---to allow frost/ice accumulation in the freezer compartment---to melt/defrost?

Or just to clean the refrigerator---to remove sticky ice cream or similar residue in the freezer?

Usually codes are given in the manner described by Bro.  John   and usually when I find a controller lockup it's a failure of the defrost controller (lg's fancy name for the harness that has the evap sensor and bi-metal)

If,  however,  you are certain with regards to the "888",  the only reference I could find is here:

Different model but In that thread Bro.  Samurai indicated there was a bulletin addressing at least that model. It advises mainboard replacement.  I have  spent some time trying to  find that bulletin just to see of it applies here but to no avail.   Maybe John or Samurai have more info. Even if you have a misinterpretation of the error,  I would still like to find out more info on an 888 code.

Hey folks!

I took the controller apart and it was saturated so, I dried it with a towel, blasted it with my heat gun,  plugged it in and low and behold we have life:). It must have been condensation, I did unplug it for almost two weeks.  I thank you all for your help, I am now and will always be a fan of this forum.  JJR
