WFW8300SW04 Whirlpool Duet Washer Distribution Reassembly... Lubrication?

Onegaishimasu,

Washer started leaking water big time; opened it up and found that the water distribution nozzle was jammed up with gritty film from hard water and not rotating; the water was coming out of the top of the detergent dispenser, where the distribution nozzle attaches to the distribution lever.

Just finished disassembling the water distribution system for the detergent dispenser; parts are soaking in vinegar.  Here's the question:

Do I use a lubricant on the area where the lever connection touches the body of the dispenser and all the connections between the actuator cam, water distribution lever, lever connection, and distribution nozzle?  If so, what should I use?  Silicone grease?  White lithium grease? Something else?

Arigato gozaimasu.

Haiku:

Washer was leaking.

The repair was not too hard,

But the water was.

If one is to be used, make your it's not a water soluble one...

Also, if your water is hard also soak your water valve screens in vinegar as well
