REL4636BW1 Roper Dryer Getting Warm but Not Hot Enough To Dry

Have a Roper Dryer Model REL4636BW1 that was working fine but now is taking forever to dry a load of clothes. The dryer does produce heat but does not get as hot as it has in the past.

What is strange is I have checked everything (fuse, sensors, etc) and all appear to have continuity. I removed the element and checked it checks fine and a visual inspection shows nothing broken so at a loss now as to what the issue could be.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Disconnected vent and cleaned lint screen and check the d temperature at dryer outlet and it is reading around 110 degrees.

  Check the voltage to dryer it will work  at lower voltage say 100v and dry slow.

 Check airflow  in the  air channel and blower.  

 Is it turned on delicate?

Assuming that is ok:

WHEN is the temp 110 degrees? I guarrantee you it does not hold that temp all the time. 

Watch the tempature aith a therocouple as it rises it will peak at some point( i assume this is the 110 of which you speak) at that point something has to have cut power to the element. 

Warpped element( need to actually remove element),  fuse, cutout,  high limit thermostat, operating thermostat? Test for 240v across  the one that is stoping  the power.

 Should be the operating thermostat. That it cuts out on, but with good flow should be closer to 170-180

 

is there power to the  thermostat heater?( the one for delicate option)

all that said; a dryer that is 110 should have dry times of about 2.25 hrs much longer that that you still may have airflow issues.

Voltage to dryer is 240V

Checked air channel and blower

Not on delicate unless the switch is not working properly

Temp is 100 to 110 when you first turn it on and let it run for about 3-5 minutes

How can I watch temp at thermocouple?

Can the operating thermostat be bad even though it tested well for continuity? How can you check the other pins?

your temp should be reaching about 170 at the dryer exhaust. Should then cycle off and on keeping the temperature between 130 and 170 .
