I need to order a tub seal kit for my Maytag Legacy Series washer but I can't find a model number on it anywhere.  I've checked under the lid, on the back and behind the control panel which are the usual spots.  I've also looked on each side, the front, in the tub, everywhere!  It looks like there used to be a sticker on the back of control panel because there's some adhesive residue there.

Anyway, I need to find a model number so I can order the right parts.  My estimate is that the washer is about 10 years old.  Here are some pics.

That's a lot of pictures! It looks like a speed queen design. Is there  a part number on that tech sheet?

Posted

I second that...AWN series?

This sheet was between the control console and lid frame/top.

I entered the tech sheet part number into service matter and it came back as a part for a fridge.

Part number off the timer would be more helpful in this case.

3rd on it looking like a Speed Queen. I did an Amana DLW330RAW about a year ago and it looked a lot like that. The control panel is a little different but my guess is that the tub parts will be the same.

That’s an HAV series.   I believe it to be a MOD: HAV4657AWW Or an HAV4657EWW

Different pump setup. This one has the pump mounted to the motor.

part number off timer would really help narrow it down.

How about the LW series ?   Like an. LW8203W2   That has a pump mounted to the bottom also ?

LW8203W2 & DLW330RAW cross to the same seal that shows to be NLA. I would feel better about saying that was the correct seal if I had a part number off the timer to cross.

And guys, thank you SO MUCH for your help with this.  It is so greatly appreciated.

Pump, motor, & level sensor too common between many models. Should be a tag somewhere on the timer.

I got lucky and did a google search entering in all the text on the control panel.

It's model #SAV4655EWW

Thanks again for all your help!

Now the question......  This thing is leaking from the tub seal, I believe.  I pulled the front panel and watched it do a cycle.  Water is dripping from the center right under the tub.  It's also pretty loud in spin cycle.  I'm guessing that the bearings are bad and that wiped out the seal.  Is it worth spending $150 on parts to fix?

I would if it were mine.

Yes ,  this is a washer that maytag made based on the old Amana design. Amana and speedqueen used to be the same till maytag bought Amana.  They destroyed these machines, the sav maytag series started the downfall of maytag. I had to put at least two tub seals in EVERY one I sold. These machines ,after maytag failed to fix the tub seal failures , forced me to quit selling maytag back in 2005 . Yes you can fix it they work well when they are not leaking, BUT it will not last !
