A customer complained that the ice dispenser does not work properly. The ice bin is full of ice. The door dispenser switch works and the auger makes  loud churning noises but no ice comes through the dispenser shoot in freezer door, the flapper does open.  I checked the auger motor and it turns as it should without any slipping when I hold onto the auger fork. I checked that the Ice bin is fully seated so that the auger engages the motor. Still, only one cube of ice falls out of the shoot.  I replaced the auger assembly thinking something is wrong with it. Same thing happening with the new auger assembly installed. Any clues why ice is not dropping out as it should be?

Make sure the ice crusher bar #10113801 is not slipping out of the plastic auger drum slots #wp67002052. If the both parts are moving independently it has a tendency to not allow the cubes into the chute.  Both parts should be moving in sinc with each outher.    Just throwing that out there.    Also double check the auger shaft cap #wpd7749401 to make sure that is not chewed up all of a sudden.  You need to make sure the ice driver #wp10114901 that is connected to the auger motor is not stripped enough to make it turn but when ice hits it it does not engage. You will still hear the auger motor running but the driver will stop turning as it slips under pressure.  Inspect the The auger motor housing to make sure that’s secured also and not moving back and forth.      Just done things you can check if you haven’t already . Good luck

Thanks for your suggestions. I went back and rechecked everything and found that the auger motor gears were stripped. Ice bin was full but auger motor shaft was not turning; only making very loud grinding noises. Replaced motor p/n WP67003226 and was back in business.
