(SubZero 590) Manual way to operate ice water solenoid?

It seems the water solenoid for the ice maker isn't working.  Is there an easier way to manually make it operate?  

 

I know on the ice maker itself you can connect L and V and the solenoid will activate.  That was working, but now nothing.  Both the ice maker and the dual solenoid are brand new.

 

The drinking water portion of the solenoid works when you need water.

 

Can you switch the harness around and use the water cable for the ice water half of the solenoid to test it?
