I have a whirlpool wtW5000DW1 low agitator washing machine that lock the lid at the beginning of the cycle and then unlocks the lid but continues with the cycle. The washer will agitate and everything. I have already replaced the lid lock and I am still having this same issue. What should I check next?

Check error codes. There’s a manual inside the front of cabinet. Sounds like you have a faulty shift actuator. Does it spin?

A lot of the newer Whirlpool top load washers fill and agitate with the lid unlocked, but stops when you open the lid. Then it locks when it goes into the spin. That’s normal operation
