How many service calls do professional techs take per day on average? I have to ask this question because I've come across an experienced technician on YouTube who claims to take six service calls a day. That claim seems to contradict what I learned from Master Samurai Tech's videos. I remember that it says the maximum number of calls a day would be three. So what's the truth of the matter?

I don't believe we ever said that the maximum number of calls you should run is three -- maybe we said that that's a good number to start with as a new tech, but you definitely need to work up to more than that to make a living as a servicer. Six calls a day (minimum) is actually a good number to shoot for. That's enough to be profitable without being overworked.

Depending on service area about 1 hour for average. That way you have 30 minutes drive time and 30 minutes for repair.

We average six per day per tech.

6 is average but 8 isn’t unusual.

8am and 8pm is a nice round number

it’s all dependant on your area , your travel , the products and your knowledge

Thank @Son of Samurai and everyone else who answered my question. Sorry for misquoting Master Samurai Tech. I forgot, it's actually the ideal number of calls for a those who are getting their heads into the business.
