Water level adjustment on my Whirlpool toploader - no pressure transducer?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have my Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum toploader console open, and I’m trying to tweak the pressure transducer to give me more water.

Thing is, I cannot find anything that looks like something I recognize as a pressure transducer on this unit. There’s an air hose that looks like it should fit into a pressure transducer, but it’s connected directly to some kind of component soldered directly onto the console PCB.

In this photo you can see that part and the tube it was connected to.

The other side of this tube is running down the back of the unit and I can’t see what it’s connected to as I can’t access the back side of this unit.

Is this some new fangled thing where they’re shipping the pressure transducer as an IC attached to the console PCB? Or is the regular switch hiding somewhere I can’t see from the top?

Thanks in advance for any tips…

The pressure transducer is an electronic component on the board.  No adjustment.

With that design with the impeller on the bottom, more water will make it less effective.
