F9E1 (91) LONG DRAIN
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves turn off.

Possible Causes/Procedure
- Ask the customer how much detergent they are using and if it is HE detergent.

May have too much suds present causing this condition.
- Turn washer ON to verify pump operates; run the drain cycle.
- Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
- Unplug washer or disconnect power.
- Make sure that wire harness connections at the Drain Pump, Pressure SW, & CCU (DP2, PR6 cavities)
connectors are not broken or with wires detached, and that connector internal pins are visible.
- Check continuity from the Drain Pump & CCU (DP2 cavity) connectors.
- Check continuity from the Pressure SW & CCU (PR6 cavity) connectors.
- If the continuity diagnosis failed, Main Harness must be replaced.
- Make continuity test to the Pressure SW. See page 7.
- Check the resistance of the motor pump. See page 7.
- Plug in washer or reconnect power.
- Run the drain cycle.
- If the failure continues, unplug washer or disconnect power.
- Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
- Disassemble the drain pump from the washer.
- Check that the impeller is not detached from the motor shaft.
If the impeller is detached from the shaft, is broken or has any scratches, the drain pump must be replaced.
- Plug in washer or reconnect power.
- Verify the washer operation by performing the Diagnostic Test cycle.

- After the diagnostic test has finished, unplug washer or disconnect power and wait for 15 seconds.

Thanks for the assistance and for the great deal on the parts.  I was able to make the repair, took a modest amount of time and still had some cold ones leftover while I sat and watched the test run.  

For anyone interested in specifics, here are a few variations on my GE model from the Frigidaire in the post I referenced for the repair:  

• I was able to lean my machine back and did not uninstall the door
• no glue was present, which eliminated the need to razor blade the old gasket off
• no 3/8" copper tubing tool was needed; the fitting for the soap/bleach just fits right inside
• the inner spring was held tight by a screw assembly...this was a bit of a bugger to get off
• the replacement gasket seems to be much higher quality than the original (yay!)
• I also took the time to clear the trap in the bottom of the machine (yet again) while it was tilted back and walked away with 36¢, a nasty kids sock, some miscellaneous tidbits, and four hairpins (time for yet another leture with the wife about the hairpins)

The magnets will pull the rotor assy onto the stator. It feels funny. You have to line the splines up on both parts then get the center bolt started and by tightening the bolt it will pull both parts together.  You might have to give it a few tries to get the splines lined up, those magnets are strong.

It Tumbles OK, and drains the Water out, but won't Spin ?

Diagnostic Test:
The diagnostic test is performed by using the Program Knob.
To START THE TEST:
• On digital display models, turn the Program Knob to start position, Touch Up.
(NOTE: If the model has a timer dial that can be rotated 360°, turn the Program Knob to start position, Drain/Spin.
• Press Pause Cancel to turn off LEDs.
• Within 5 seconds, press and hold the Option and Pause Cancel buttons until LEDs start sequentially chasing, then release buttons.
1. All the LEDs will sequentially light. Pressing a button below a light cluster will light all the LEDs in that cluster at one time to confirm functionality.
2. Turn the program knob (1) click clockwise from the start position. The hot water solenoid will activate and hot water should enter through the detergent compartment.
3. Turn the program knob (2) clicks from the start position. The bleach water solenoid will activate and cold water should enter through the bleach compartment.
4. Turn the program knob (3) clicks from the start position. The bleach and the wash water solenoids will activate and cold water should enter through the softener compartment.
5. Turn the program knob (4) clicks from the start position. The door lock solenoid will activate.
6. Turn the program knob (5) clicks from the start position. The door lock solenoid will deactivate and the loading door can be opened.
7. Turn the program knob (6) clicks from the start position. The washer will fill and tumble.
8. Turn the program knob (7) clicks from the start position. The washer will fill and spin (leakage test).
9. Turn the program knob (8) clicks from the start position. The drain pump and door lock solenoid will activate and the
washer will operate in high spin. SAFETY WARNING: If power is removed during this test, the door can be opened.
To prevent injury, DO NOT put your hands inside when the tub is rotating.
10. Turn the program knob (9) clicks from the start position. The control will signal the last error code.

Exiting Diagnostic Mode
There are two options for exiting the Diagnostic Test mode and returning the washer to normal operation:
a ) Unplug the power cord, wait 5-8 seconds, then reconnect the power cord OR
b ) Turn the program knob clockwise 2 or 3 clicks after the Start Position. Press Options and Pause Cancel buttons together for a few seconds until wash cycle LEDs appear.
If a situation arises where you cannot exit the Diagnostic mode as described above and the bank of 5 LED’s on the right end remain ON regardless of Program Knob position,
a combination of pushed buttons may have caused the control to enter a special factory test mode.
Disconnect power to reset the control to return washer to normal operation is this occurs.

After you have emptied all of the water from the pump trap - put unit on drain/spin cycle without adding any water and observe operation - does it spin up to high speed during this cycle ?

While you are in there, remove the stupid little catcher cup that's in the tub-to-pump hose and ditch it, only causes headaches (you might find it full of goodies causing your issue) Looks like this:
