Need Help: Newish GE PVM9005SJ8SS Microwave

I dont think so. As you can see in the video it allows me to enter a time for in the heating setting - I dont think it would allow that if it read the door to be open.
  3. Does it think the door is open(disconnected door switch)?
  4. Hey Folks, The microwave is a GE PVM9005SJ8SS - its only about 16 months old (from when I bought it). So the backstory is that last month, we had a power outage/interruption in the middle of the night. In the morning, I found the microwave completely dead. I went through the basic dead microwave diagnostic techniques and checked the following: -both thermal fuses (the two silver 2 pronged fuses in the photos -the 900 mA white fuse in the photos -the main microwave fuse - the little 'tube' thing in the photo -the door switches All the fuses had continuity (meaning they are functioning) and with my current detector, I could tell the power was getting to the internals. Nothing on the control boards looked burnt or obviously broken. But after studying the wiring diagram, I came to the conclusion that the microwave was in fact getting power but the display control board was fried. In this model, the display board is built into the door. So I order a new door and when it arrived I now had my digital display back, but the microwave would not start once you input a cook time - it would just beep. Like in the attached video... Like I said, Ive replaced the door and the main control board, tested the door close switches and all fuses. Everything tests good, but the microwave will not initiate a heat cycle - any suggestions? Kitchenaid kco253cu toaster oven

Anyone ever figure this out? My KCO111CU gave up on my recently. It has a 5 pin 4 position switch, but I cannot confirm an appropriate replacement. I tried drawing up a circuit diagram but I am missing something. Gonna just have to use a multimeter to figure it out.
  12. Hello, A few months ago, the wash plate kept slipping when the drum was attempting to spin in a direction. I had a tech come out and for $250, he replaced the... I don't know the part but it is a gear in the middle that the wash plate connects to. The tech showed me and the teeth had been worn down so much it wasn't catching on the wash plate anymore. So he replaced that part, and I actually replaced the wash plate so That had refined teeth as well. All has been working fine... up until a few days ago. All the sudden the plate is spinning too much, and I'm worried about clothes getting jacked up because of it. I removed the wash plate and all of the teeth look fine. I don't see any reason why the plate is spinning as much as it does. It never used to before. When putting the wash plate back on, it seems like it connects just fine. It feels like it slides onto the teeth of the center gear without issue. It just... keeps sliding like this. I'm not really sure why. I have a feeling it's something underneath, I just don't know what. Or how difficult it is to replace. Here is the wash plate taken apart: https://imgur.com/xgxYJtK Here is the wash plate in action, with the issue I'm experiencing (again, this never used to happen): https://imgur.com/2QBrhYh As far as I can tell, it is also turning the gear as well. It doesn't seem to be slipping on the shaft. Is there anything that I could potentially replace myself to fix this? Or is it something I don't necessarily need to worry about? I don't want to have another tech come out to try and fix something that may be another $250 or more when I can buy a refurbished washer for like, $400 at this rate... Thank you for your time.

  17. hey @Son of Samurai CIT365EM/08 is the full number. Thank you
  18. Working on a Thermadore Professional PRG304US gas range/oven. It's an older model. There are 2 simmer burners +2 standard burners. The front simmer burner was on and made a very loud "popping," sound before shutting down completely. Following the "pop," both the front and rear XLO/simmer burns quit functioning (no power light on, no spark, no gas). The other 2 burners and the oven are functioning normally. Have replaced both potentiometers with new replacement parts as well as the ignition device. Both burners are still not functioning. No electrical or gas. What would cause this? Faulty gas valve?
  19. The distinction will be in the "slash" numbers after the model number. Post the full model number and we can probably find the tech lit for your specific model.
  20. Maybe @Son of Samurai can help you out with that one.

GE Dryer GFMS150ED0WW Service Manual Request

You should be able to use this bundle:
  22. Compresser is not cycling and sometimes shuts off needing reset. Then stopped resetting. Unit is less than 2 yo. The video I found online has a pop off case using a screwdriver. Mine has a screw that won't budge. Can't tell if it's flat, Phillip's, or special. How to get it off safely. Also paid too much for the part including 20 extra just for shipping 🤬. How do I search for this number on amazon. Which code to use.
  23. Uses this manual: And this schematic:
