Hello everyone.  I am trying to fix error code F7 for a GE oven range, but I cant figure out how to get the control panel off this thing.

There are 7 bolts under the panel which I tried taking off, but the panel is still firmly in place.  From the look of things I may need to remove the entire top part of the range and burners, which have screws that are very likely rusted through and will need drilling.  Before I get into that I was hoping someone here might know an easier solution.  I was unable to find any resources online on how to take off this front panel.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Take the burner knobs off.  Under them you will see a large plastic nut holding down the user interface.  Taking care disconnect the ribbon connection. Set aside the UI.  Remove screws that are reviled by removing UI.
