Whirlpool GHW9100LW1 Beeps & sometimes won't select chosen cycle

I have an eleven year old duet ghw9100lw1 washer (it's always been mine) and it's acting oddly in two ways:

1. It will beep during some cycles, but no error code comes up; it will finish the cycle just fine.  Should I worry?

2. I will try to select a cycle, and it will select a different cycle.  If I put it on normal for instance, the light and settings for delicate will come up.  It won't then allow me to select normal until a load has run.  I have tried searching for an answer, but can't find one.  How can I fix this?

Thank you

Do you have issues with any of the other functions on the panel? Sounds like the user interface would be the culprit.

Thank you for your reply.  :)

No, that's the only thing it does, but it is an annoying thing!
