I have no water supply from water inlet valve to icemaker due to no power at ice maker solenoid.  Water inlet valve itself was replaced.  Ice maker electrical connector to inlet valve and water supply connector to inlet valve were temporarily swapped to test new inlet valve itself. Valve works-supplies water to ice maker.

I'm looking for schematics on the water inlet valve and ice maker. I suspect an ice maker mold temperature sensor failure (which means I replace the complete ice maker assembly) But I'd like to verify instead of throwing parts at it.

Professional advise or electrical diagrams are appreciated.

Pretty simple icemaker on this unit. Have you tried advancing it?

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure of the procedure. Can you fill me in?

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't sure of the procedure but YouTube is a pretty cool tool.

So I gently pulled on the "fingers" inside the icemaker.  It DID NOT go into a harvest cycle.

Did the icemaker revolve under it's own power? Did you close the door switch? Is the icemaker getting power?

Posted

The ice maker did not complete the harvest cycle.  I closed the door for a minute or two and came back to check it.  There were no changes in the finger positioning.  I did verify power from the four wire connector to the ice maker.

Sounds like you have a bad drive motor in the icemaker. Replace the icemaker

Thanks for the advice!  Replacing the ice maker assembly corrected my problem.
