BOSCH Supersilence Serie 4 46db dishwasher - model number SMS46GW01A/01

Hi all,

I am not sure what to do about this, but am hoping someone here can offer some direction. 

We have recently (and finally) gotten a dishwasher, which was gifted to us by a friend (it had been sitting in their garage unused.) It is a Bosch "Serie 4" 46db model number SMS46GW01A/01.

There isn't space in any of our small kitchen to put it, so we put it next to the kitchen bench - we had a plumber come and drill some holes, and attach some "extension" hoses to the water intake and outtake to the supplied ones. The dishwasher worked great for two weeks, and now has developed an issue.

It's a BOSCH "Serie 4" 46db, with the model number SMS46GW01A/01. 
While working initially, it now seems to run for a short while (10 minutes?) on any of the washing programs, and then stop with the "Check Water" error lit. We've cleaned all the filters, but it looks like it is obtaining water (at least for a while) as the bottom of the dishwasher is full of water when the program stops. Draining also seems to work, as if I start another program, it will drain it all out.

Our guess - Is this likely low water pressure due to the length of the hose, that may have been borderline when it worked and now has dipped for some reason? Perhaps it only needs low pressure in the first phase, but demands more in the later one? Or perhaps some sort of blockage in the water intake or the wastewater pump?.

Should we:
1) call a plumber
2) call a bosch technician
3) is there something we can do ourselves?

If I had to take a stab at it, I would look at the water inlet valve or the flow meter attached to it. I can't find much in the way of parts for this and being that I'm in the US I don't have any experience with it. It looks like there is a flow meter attached to the water inlet valve and that could be malfunctioning.

On the left side of the dishwasher is a large plastic chamber called "case break". The case break houses several of the sensor for drain and fill. Very common for the passage to get build up of gunk, it may just need to be cleaned out.

Thank you! I've been through what diagrams I can find online and am not exactly sure where to find this case break. Can you help a newbie out by telling me whether I should be looking inside or outside of the dishwasher?!? I see this part at the back, and I was wondering if that's what you meant?

@hilyouare What you have pictured is the back of the dishwasher/drain hose.

The case break will be on the left side towards the front looking at the front of the dishwasher - it's were the water fills into the dishwasher.  There may be a thin sheet metal shield that needs to removed to see it.

Thank you @Budget Appliance Repair! I got into the case break today and following a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaYnQCgmGgE was able to get the stored water to drain. After this, I ran a cleaning cycle which was successful, and then a ordinary wash cycle with dishes in it, and it worked! However, the next cycle stopped again, with the same error. I'm wondering whether I need to replace the valve or the electrical contact that inserts into it? Or whether the flow through sensor reed switch (parts 0404 https://spares.bigwarehouse.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=80712_80715_264458&products_id=1798298 and 0405 https://spares.bigwarehouse.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=80712_80715_264458&products_id=1688195 ) might also need replacing? (Forgive me for totally being a novice here, I'm going on the guidance of what I can find online, and following your instructions about where the heck I was even needing to look has been so beneficial!)

I'm not sure whether there is more cleaning I ought to be doing in that case break area, other than draining the water out? Since the dishwasher worked after I did this I thought that was evidence for there having been at least some blockage in there. Thank you so much for everyone's help so far.
