Serial Numbers: All Serials Prior to VS609
Causes: This concern could have different causes, including but not limited to impeded airflow in the freezer compartment. For example, impeded airflow could be caused by various circumstances, including frost on the freezer evaporator. If corrosion has formed on the brass freezer defrost thermistor, it might impact the thermistor performance, allowing ice to accumulate on the evaporator.
Correction: Order and install Service Kit W10902214. The Service Kit includes a plastic thermistor, foil, and wire tie. Installation instructions are included in the kit.
