  1. I need a PTC start relay for an Avanti CF164 Chest Freezer. I have Avanti's parts list for the CF164 model but the p/n for the PTC is blank! I pulled the PTC off of the side of the compressor. It's a three-pin device. The part number is not printed on the thing. It does have "QP2-4.7" silk-screened on the side. I've googled what little bit of information I have for this thing, but as of yet I can find no convincingly matching part. Additionally, there's a largish white cylinder mounted to the frame of the freezer, and a white wire connects between it and the PTC. At first glance, I presume this is a start/stop capacitor, but again, the parts list for the CF164 model is no help. Besides, I though the start/stop capacitor for these sort of appliances is built into the compressor; as in, isn't the start/stop capacitor the thing the PTC plugs directly onto (two prongs sticking out of the compressor)? Any part number suggestions for a compatible PTC start relay (and start/stop capacitor) that'll work reliably within an Avanti CF164 chest freezer? Hurry! ...the ice cream is melting!
