    I have a vintage General Electric “Three Speed Filter-Flo Washer 14” with “Infinite Water Level” and an “Assister” agitator which bottom ring is broken (see pictures below). Can’t find model number to look for compatible parts as I think model plate has been removed. The Assistor seems to work fine on the spin cycle, but hardly moves during wash cycle unless significant downward hand pressure is applied. Therefore presume / hope the broken plastic ring which is at the bottom of the Assistor Assembly is the problem and is an easy cheap fix. Can anyone visually identify model and / or compatible Assistor Assembly replacement ring and my presumption that the broken ring is the problem?

    I am a field technician and best I can tell this is an air leak issue. Have not been able to narrow it down. I taped off the dispenser, replaced the icing kit, replaced the board, all the dampers (2 lower ones failed anyways) I'm seeing the same thing with the ice build up in the return vent. My question would be for those of you who have done the styrofoam modification to allow more air are you having any issues with the drain tube freezing up? I've sealed up every nook and cranny I can see with refrigerator gum and silicone and the problem persists. I'm left believing that even though the doors appear to be sealing they are the issue. Any thoughts?

    I don't understand why the controls are different. Those are the same controls as the first download. Not the controls on this machine.

    Those can be nightmares. Make sure the drain is clear and tilt the front legs up higher to give the defrost water a more of a chance to get out of the freezer before going back into the cooling mode!
