Hello, I am new and not particularly talented for DIY. Got old Frigidaire Oven and need to replace the oven control (incl. probe) - part 204911-1100 Part is discontinued and there doesn't seem to be a replacement part. Are there any hacks? Secret stacks of discontinued parts? Thanks a lot Mike (from Canada)

I have a Figidaire FPMC2785PF oven that has developed a loud clicking noise. It sounds like something is clicking against a fan or something. This machine was purchased used and I would like to fix it from making noise. Here is a video of the noise. I live in Orange County CA and would either love to have some advice on how to fix or have someone do it for me. Thanks

Hi Folks, I could really do with a bit of help in diagnosing a Bosch microwave issue The model is: HBC86P753B/01 Combi Oven and Microwave. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/5d/7b/5d/5d7b5dd4a9d9cec46429852d96d23147.jpg The problem only affects the microwave section: The symptoms are as follows: I power on and select microwave at any power level setting, adjust timer to 1 minute and press start, The light comes on fan runs for about 3 seconds and then display resets back to clock. I am electronically qualified and aware of the high voltage risks, so dismantled to investigate yesterday. Magnetron shows no evidence of cracked magnets or distorted structure. Measures just under 1 ohm across heater with no leakage between either of the heater terminals and the case. If I run with the cover off, there are no sparks, unusual sounds or smells of burning. The conventional oven responds correctly to door switch when opened. This model uses an inverter PCB rather than the traditional capacitor and diode arrangement, so wondered if this module could be the cause. As the part is quite expensive, I thought it would be sensible to seek advice first. I have a GE JT915SOK5SS oven On bake it will only get in the range of about 250 degrees. IN convection, it will not get above 100. On Broil, it seems to work fine. I'm guessing it's the bottom element, but had the thought that it could be a sensor as well. Thought I'd post here before digging into it later today. (FWIW: I'd rate my skill level as high DIY. I've replaced parts on fridge, several on under cabinet ice maker, etc. and many electronics repairs. Oven is a first) thanks in advance.

We've been selling our custom oven keypad replacement solution online for about nine months now and have run into this problem many times: The customer doesn't feel confident enough to install the part themselves. We have created pretty thorough installation manuals complete with detailed, high res photography to instruct them in what we already believe is a fairly simple operation. Nevertheless, appliance control parts appear to be intimidating to the average homeowner. Our product - The LinkBox: a small electronic module (typically half the size of an OEM control board) that installs on the backside of an oven touchpad next to the OEM control board. The module has a mounting bracket on it that mates with the mounting bracket for the OEM control board. It comes with a ribbon cable and two leads for L1 and N. The ribbon cable connects to the OEM control board in place of the OEM panel's ribbon cable. The L1 and N leads terminate in piggy-back terminals (or a special adapter depending on which model appliance the customer has) and are to be connected in parallel with incoming power to the OEM control board. It ships with a 7" tablet that will automatically boot into the user interface and establish a Bluetooth connection with the LinkBox when powered on. And that's it. When the customer wants to have this installed by a tech, we will refer them to you, and you can charge them a typical install fee or whatever you want! But it sounds like you get $50-$100 and a happy customer for about 10 minutes of work.
