Hello everyone, I have a ge electric range that the customer is saying is not cooking evenly and not cooking at all sometimes and other times it works fine. She was saying it is not cooking the middle of casseroles and didn't cook her turkey last year. When I went to check it is a double oven where the drawer is the lower oven. I turned it on and the oven got right to 350 and stayed at 350. When the oven was cycling I could hear the relays clicking on and off but I never read any power to the element around the convection fan or broil element. It didnt seem to have a bake element on the bottom. There was two element top and bottom for the drawer though. I am thinking of changing the control board and sensor and hope that helps but I'm afraid it might not solve the problem. Thanks, Michael

Dog Food Mouse Nest Under the Stove Top of an Electric Range

This is one of the most extreme examples I've seen of mouse activity in a range. There were at least three large container's worth of dry dog food squirreled away under the stove top of this electric range. Original complaint was that the RF element would stay on, even when the switch was off. This was one of those over-engineered Frigidaire ranges with the ESEC (electric stove electronic control). Turns out the dog food was shorting two of the sensing terminals in the element causing the control to keep the element on. Removed dog food and problem fixed!
