hello to all those with a frigidaire dishwasher showing the error code i30 and the drain pump continuously running..... i think i have a (at least temporary) solution!!! (bottom of post) apparently this is a systemic problem with a poorly designed pressure switch that get clogged with food and grease causing the above symptoms. the long term fix would be to get the updated sensor= 5304504077 Pressure Sensor , but for now...... background info: put dishes in washer without rinsing them first. some had bits of salad still on them. ran a normal cycle, emptied dishes. half hour later the drain pump just starts running, error code i30 displayed, sump is empty, door is open...?? so i turned off the breaker to the washer. SOLUTION 1) put two scoops of "BIO CLEAN" with a quart of water into the dishwasher ( https://www.gonzocart.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=290&language=en¤cy=USD ), 2) used a zip tie to poke around the pressure sensor opening to loosen any food particles. you need a flexible thingy to reach into the opening of the sensor from the sump. 3) waited 24 hours 4) turned on the breaker....drain pump does stays off, no error code, operating panel displays normally. 5) ran the rinse cycle. the contents of the dishwasher backs up into the kitchen sink showing both the BIO CLEAN stuff and bits of salad. ran the disposal to clear, cycle finishes normally! drain pump does not later turn on by itself. SUCCESS so, guess i will have to preclean the plates and occasionally use the bio clean just in case.

Inglis Model RO44080 (Canadian) Belt-Drive Washer Pump Doesn't Spin-Might It Be Rehabilitated?!
dazedandconfused posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
Hi guys and gals, I have a 41-year old Inglis, belt-drive washer (washing machine) which has only let me down once before in all those many years! That was 10 years ago and I simply (well, fairly simply anyway) replaced the motor with a good, used one. Now, the machine won't drain when it is supposed to and I have determined that the drain pump shaft (with the pulley on top) isn't turning when the washer goes into drain mode! Since a new drain pump for something this old is hard to get a hold of and it is almost half the cost of a 'replacement' used washer, I am exploring the idea of 'rehabbing' the pump! Does anyone know if that might that be possible and, if so, can someone provide me with some pointers on how to do it (e.g., remove it, take it apart, clean all the parts and then give the shaft some good. old 3-in-1)?! TIA, dazedandconfused- 8 replies

The current status is: Dryer works fine Washer light comes on when activated (i.e. pull the knob out) Washer does not Fill with water Rotate Drain (based on sound) I'm looking for information to help me find the pump (ic) board; check the fuse; test the pump I don't know if I have multiple failures (perhaps caused by the impact when the spring broke): the speed controller, the pump, etc. Please advise History, oldest to most recent Washer ande dryer worked fine Loud noise and washer stopped rotating in any mode Diagnosed a broken support spring Received and installed a replacement spring (and a replacement electric washer moter, belt, and schocks ready to return for a refund) Washer fills but does not spin. During what would be wash cycles, the drum rotates rarely and slowly. Drain pump makes a lot of noise Remove drain hose (drump to pump) and empty coin trap (it was full) Reinstall drain hose Washer fills but does not spin. During what would be wash cycles, the drum rotates rarely and slowly. Drain pump makes a lot of noise Attempt to clear hose from pump to exit pipe

hello i have a frigidaire professional dishwasher ( http://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support--Manuals/?productCode=FPID2497RF) problem=the drain pump runs continuously, even with the door open and the dishwasher sump empty. background, the dishwasher finished a cycle normally. i opened the door, emptied dishes. then, a half hour later the drain pump just turned on despite the door being opened the no water left in the dishwasher. i turned off the power using the breaker for a half hour, filled the sump with a half liter of water to see if it was leaking out, and it wasnt, flipped the breaker on, sump emptied and the pump once again continued to run . i removed the kick plate and didnt see any water on the floor under the dishwasher. Note, i even pressed the "start/cancel" button for 10 seconds and that did not do anything to stop the pump or reset the unit. ***************there is an error code 30 which is identified as a leak or overflow of water has been detected in the bottom of the pan. researching on the web, i have found similar issues with other dishwashers and the advice was to pull the unit out and tip it forward or backward to empty the water from the pan (and on to the floor). the other solution that was posed was to clean out the pressure sensor as it was gummed up with grease. why would the sump drain pump run if there was water in the drip pan? how do i get to and remove the pressure sensor to inspect and clean it? is there a way to inspect the drip for leaked water and use suction to remove it? advice?

So our under counter ice machine has been great until two weeks ago. The unit fills with water, but the pump never engages, so water isn't circulated over the freeze plate to make ice. Does anyone have an idea where to start testing? I disassembled and was able to spin the pump with my fingers, but when reassembled, turned on, when water fills tank, only a click is heard and pump never starts. Our unit is a model KUIV18NNMM0. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Samsung Front Loader WF203ANW - still ND after new pump install
logcabin posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
Hello - I removed and checked hoses for blockages - dollar coin was removed. I reassembled everything and still got the "ND" status. I bought a new pump and replaced - still "ND" Disconnected the wiring harness to the pump. Started the spin cycle. Measured between 12-14V (AC). What should be traveling through those wires? What should I try next? many many thanks. Peter -
Maytag Bravos LD error checked pump for blockage
pennnamebooks posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
I have a Maytag Bravos 580 MVSB300wq2 serial number c12770323. The water would not drain and the pump would not stop running. I performed the following things 1. I did the diagnostic test and recieved the F32 and F72 errors. I pulled the tub out (without the special puller) and the shaft was corroded. I cleaned the shaft and tub bearing and reinstalled. I ran the machine in diagnostic and got through it with "done." 2. I ran a test load. It did the same thing - not pumping water out fully and pump runs and runs LD code. 3. I tipped it up and pulled both pumps and checked for debris or blockage. Both pumps look clean and no blockage. Where in the world do I go from here? Is the Askoll W10281682 pump going bad? How can I tell? Thanks for any and all help. Sincerely, Matt -
Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8800yc0 (part II) - noisy drain pump
johnlec posted a topic in DIY Appliance Repair Help
The drain pump is VERY loud. It sounds like there gravel inside. It also seems to pump slowly/erratically, i.e. the flow is not constant. I removed the pump and inspected the intake and discharge and from what I could see there were no foreign objects. IIRC, I could spin the impeller easily. Am I missing something? Is the pump just noisy? Should I look someplace else for the issue? Thanks! -
From the album: appliance pics parts
This plug looks like the wire is good and connected, its not. there are basically four push in knife type connectors that ars suppose to strip the wire and make the connection. often it cuts the wire and eventually breaks. i reused it once, had it come back in a month, used regular insulated terminals to replace it. -
