    When you find ice accumulated close to the evaporator motor, the cause may be defrost water that penetrates the Styrofoam center divider and then freezes and potentially blocks the fan motor blades. If the drain tube is not obstructed, replace the Styrofoam center divider with Evaporator Housing Kit Part number: WR17X12453

    Ice accumulation in front of the fan causes intermittent buzzing noise. Ice accumulation results from incomplete defrost and/or defrost water dripping in front of the evaporator housing.
