  1. I have a Whirlpool fridge that isn't working nearly as well as it should be ...I have the cold settings set the highest that it can go and it's not nearly as cold as it used to be in both the freezer and the fridge part. About at least a a year ago I had to replace some parts that went bad when I had this same or similar problem...but I forgot what parts they were. Besides being pretty much silent I'm hearing a faint clicking noise once in a while. I'm wondering how can fix this? About how much would it cost for parts? Would it be more worth it just to get another one?
  2. Model#WFE710H0AS oven heats to temp, and control shows correct but stops heating. heard an odd whirring noise a week ago, and though I saw small flame in oven. Threw breaker. Some smoke but no electric smell - couldn't determine what it was. Thought scrap parchment paper perhaps. Started again and Oven worked normal til yesterday used daily. have reset and still doing it. Suggestions oh wise ones? thankful humble apprentice since 2010 that foolishly lost login after last honorable repair celebration
  3. Hi Friends: I have a Bosch B22CT080SNS/01 French Door Refrigerator. Ice maker is located in the bottom freezer. I cannot find for the life of me the ice maker assembly replacement. It is on back order.and has been for at least 2 months now. Bosch has not ETA. No local parts house, no online vendor, or my tech can find one. Only some in Canada but they won't ship to the US. I was told to find part number 00798555. This Bosch refrigerator was clearly made by Whirlpool. My brother owns a JennAir JFC2290REM00 and I can't find a difference in the models except of course the label. I'm willing to put in a generic ice maker if someone can suggest something that is compatible. This unit produces the crescent cubes. Any help or suggestions would be appreciate. Thank you!
  4. Service manual needed cant find this on repairclinic or any site I hope they didn’t give the wrong number
  5. My Whirlpool side by side fridge model number WRS325FDAM02 has a stuck water filter. After opening the access door, the filter should pop out a bit, i guess, in order to pull it out for replacement. But it doesn't. This model has no button to push, but an access door at the bottom left of the fridge. The filter should, according to Whirlpool, just pop out when the door is opened right-to-left. Tried pliers on the end of the filter, but the end of the filter is rounded and gripping it from the end is impossible. Removed lower grating to see if that help with access, but it doesn't. Water filter hasn't been changed in 5 years! LOL... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Hi, I was drying clothes today and opened the door mid-cycle to empty the clothes. I came back about an hour later and the door was still open and I noticed that the dryer was still heating. I just unplugged it. This dryer was purchased new around 1997-98. I have repaired several things on it through the years but I am not sure where to start in diagnosing this problem. Is it the heating element itself? What would cause it to stay on? Thanks for your input. Matt
  7. service manual for disassembly need absolutely thank you
  8. I've been having defrost issues with my Whirlpool refrigerator, and I am at my wits end! What is happening is that it does not enter the defrost cycle on its own; rather, I have to manually turn the timer with a screwdriver to get it to defrost. I have replaced the following items: Defrost timer (twice), defrost thermostat and regular thermostat for refrigerated section. Once I manually initiate a defrost, the heater does come on and melt and ice in the freezer, and after about 20 minutes the timer switches back to cooling cycle, but does not automatically go back into defrost roughly 8 hours later (its rated time). This refrigerator does not seem to have any sort of defrost control board, as I looked over the parts diagram for this unit. I really don't know what else could be causing this issue. All replaced parts were OEM and correct to this Whirlpool refrigerator, and I did test them via recommendations elsewhere online. Please, if anyone has anything that could help me try and solve this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!
  9. My whirlpool washer would not agitate or spin, i replaced the clutch, hub, drive belt, and actuator all in one go. After calibrating and running the self test, it agitates but still will not spin. Any ideas on what else it could be?https://youtu.be/7yH8akP1h0U
  10. The heat will not stay on, will work fine for most of the first load for they day but after that the heat goes on and off when it pleases. Had a repair man out and it cycled fine for him for about 30 minutes one and off as expected with and without a load. 2, 3 minutes without load 5, 6 with load. I have disconnected the duct, replaced the high/low temp thermostat, pulled unit apart and cleaned every part free of lint. Replaced coil. All wiring looks fine nothing burnt or pinched. When the pilot heating element comes on it fires fine, I have not see the element come on and the gas not ignite so I do not thing failing pilot element. Dont want to pay another tech not to fix it and hate to buy new if it's a $50 part.
