    Possible Concern:
    Control board W10219462 is no longer available as a stand-alone component. The control board is used in KitchenAid and Jenn-Air Built In Refrigerator Units -- SXS Dispenser, SXS Non-Dispenser, 36” Bottom Mount, and 42”French Door Bottom Mount.
    Potential Cause:
    Any problem necessitating replacement of Control Board W10219462
    Correction:
    Reference tables on the following page to order and install service kit for the applicable model.
     

    Service kit contains:
    • Control Board Assembly (Including Wiring Harness)
    • Multiple Control Boards
    • Mounting Bracket, and
    • Instruction Sheet
     
    Note: Functions performed by the original control board are now performed by multiple control boards.

    This Class Code 91 letter is for control board W10219463 replacement for Kitchen Aid, Jenn Air, Thermador, Dacor, & Kenmore Built In Refrigerator Units. This part is no longer available. Due to the failed ACU board W10219463 and the complexity of the control boards function the only resolution is to replace the entire control assembly with a service kit. Any product requiring this board will need to order one of the service kits according to model number.

    Serial Numbers: All Serials Prior to VS609
    Causes: This concern could have different causes, including but not limited to impeded airflow in the freezer compartment. For example, impeded airflow could be caused by various circumstances, including frost on the freezer evaporator. If corrosion has formed on the brass freezer defrost thermistor, it might impact the thermistor performance, allowing ice to accumulate on the evaporator.
    Correction: Order and install Service Kit W10902214. The Service Kit includes a plastic thermistor, foil, and wire tie. Installation instructions are included in the kit.
    Repair instructions for the service kit are included with this download bundle.
