    This is a Frigidaire Gallery front load washer. It washed one load, then when the next was washed it was possibly a) heavily loaded & maybe unbalanced, but that happens a lot, and b) a sweater got stuck under a paddle so part of the load wouldn't tumble. It then spun and rattled about noisily, and TBH the tub looks like it might be a little dented, if it even matters (I placed tape at that point in the rotation), maybe where it contacted the outer drum. I did check the springs and shock absorbers and they move pretty easily, but evenly. But my question is, should it make this noise when turned by hand? I've never heard a washer make this sound, and wonder if it is associated to the rattling drum, like a bearing is shot or an axle is wobbly. I appreciate your guidance and assitance.

    Door bellows had a tear so time to replace. I got the part number 134728400 which is the current part number for my machine ATF8000FS1. I got the old one on off, installed the new part, all went smooth except the back part is a little tough to get on, but I did it. Put everything back together and the washer door won't shut. I double checked my work and all was done correctly. The new one looked a little deeper then the one I took off. I checked the part number on the old one and it was stamped 134739800. I looked online and 134728400 (the new part I had) is the replacement for part number 134739800. Is there a trick? Is there a known issue? I checked on various sites and everyone says that the new one has replaced the old one. Any Ideas? Brian 134728400 is the replacement for part number 134739800 which is the part number stamped on the old bellows.

(yes or no): YES Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): YES Door lock is locked closed, could not get model from machine, looked online and this number matches the photo. Any suggestion how to release the lock or open the door, it is full of water and cloths! and how to get the water out before opening the door! Thanks for your help in advance.

    My LG WM2032HW front loading washer was throwing an OE error code and failing to spin. I found quite helpful instructions for the WM2487HWMA. See http://fixitnow.com/wp/2011/02/11/accessing-and-removing-the-drain-pump-in-an-lg-front-load-washer/ However, accessing the drain pump for the LG WM2032HW required a slightly different disassembly process. There are no screws on the back to release the top. The top doesn't slide--it lifts up by wedging up the front from two spring clips on either side. Make sure you secure the top once lifted or it will surely hit you on the head later during the repair. I ordered a drain pump from Sears. I also ordered the door boot/gasket (see below). Once the top is up and the front panel is off (see link on how to remove the gasket and door latch from the front panel) you can access the pump assembly. The drain pump is secured by three screws. These screws cannot be accessed easily from the side. The side panel is welded to the frame. The screws for the drain pump are readily accessible by removing the three screws around the filter cleanout. One of the three will already have been removed by having removed the drain cover. The whole pump assembly then lifts up and can turn enough to access the three screws holding the drain pump to the pump assembly. You will need to remove the red and black electrical connectors from the drain pump. You may find it helpful to remove the rubber intake drain hose from the back of the pump assembly and/or the drain hose from the top of the assembly. Replacing the drain pump did the trick. I had no sand or obstruction in the pump or the pump assembly. It just gave out. My LG is OE free and leak free. Since you must for this repair remove the front door, thus having removed the door spring wire from the boot/gasket, you might check for holes in the boot/gasket. Mine had several holes in it. The washer would at times leak during small loads. You will need to remove the inner spring/wire. The inner spring wire is easier to reinstall on the new boot. You will find it much easier if you also remove the weights, top and bottom from the drum. The outer spring wire connected to the door takes some effort. Position it in the groove as much as you can leaving one side of the spring in its final position. With vice grips pull hard to the right while a third hand (helper) positions the wire in the rest of the groove. Be patient. This takes some effort and trial and error. hanks all for the related posts.

    Once again I seek advice from the wise and powerful appliance gods. My Whirlpool GHW9150PW4 (I believe 10 years old) front load washer produced an F02 error last week. I removed the bottom front cover, emptied out the filter and ran a drain and spin cycle with the bottom front cover removed. Left the cover off again to make sure no leakage and ran a full wash. Got the F02 error again. Cleaned the filter out and ran the drain and spin cycle. Problem: The spin cycle is making a very loud banging noise Happened the first time I ran the drain and spin after clearing the filter. Not sure if it was happening before this. The wife does most of the laundry while I am at work. Machine is in the basement and with 5 kids the house can get noisy. From what I have found the likely culprit is the rear bearings. My questions are these: 1) Given what I described do you think it is the rear bearings? 2) Is there a danger of causing more damage by using the washer in its current state? (remember 5 kids. It piles up quick) 3) Could I have done something (leaving cover off) to cause or agitate this issue? Seems like a pretty big coincidence that it came up right when I was dealing with the other issue 4) Any suggestions for finding a quality repairman south of Boston MA? Afraid this one is beyond my reach Thanks for reading Matt
