  1. We consistently have to pull the tray and chop away large chunks of ice at the rear. Both fridge and freezer plenty cold. We dispense ice often so it shouldn't be jamming due to backed up cubes. If it's a leak how do I check/fix?
  2. Manufacturer: Electrolux Type of Appliance: French door fridge Model Number: FGHF2366PFEA Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): Yes Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): Yes Is there any bulletin for this freezer Frost issue related to the freezer evaporator thermistor? I couldn't find any repair manual for this model, other than the one under the fridge. The freezer was 3/4 frosted over with 3 inches of frost in front of it. It was partially defrosting the bottom corner of the evaporator but the rest was a solid block of ice. Bimetal was 0.3 ohms (good). In test mode, the defrost turned on and was very hot but shut off early and started with an evaporator thermistor measurement of 42° F even though the evaporator thermostat was buried in ice. The plastic clip was snapped on to the suction line that leaves the evaporator in the middle of the evaporator. 4.9 volts DC was measured at the control board for the thermistor (this is correct). Good power socket and polarity. I measured a good ohm reading from the board at the wire harness to the thermistor so it's not open, just off. My diagnosis is the thermistor that is the problem. I know there was a service bulletin for some models of Frigidaire with this ice maker. The ice room has frost around the edges of it in the top and top right corner. The ice maker defrost tested okay in test mode. Is there a bulletin for intermittent / no ice making / frost for this type of ice maker? The Old Frigidaire bulletin upgraded the parts for this ice maker to the ones that came with this fridge including the silicon gasket behind the air handler for the ice room. But they don't sell a separate gasket for the ice room and that's where the frost is at the perimeter of. You'd have to buy the whole ice room part. But are there any more bulletins?

  15. hello to all those with a frigidaire dishwasher showing the error code i30 and the drain pump continuously running..... i think i have a (at least temporary) solution!!! (bottom of post) apparently this is a systemic problem with a poorly designed pressure switch that get clogged with food and grease causing the above symptoms. the long term fix would be to get the updated sensor= 5304504077 Pressure Sensor , but for now...... background info: put dishes in washer without rinsing them first. some had bits of salad still on them. ran a normal cycle, emptied dishes. half hour later the drain pump just starts running, error code i30 displayed, sump is empty, door is open...?? so i turned off the breaker to the washer. SOLUTION 1) put two scoops of "BIO CLEAN" with a quart of water into the dishwasher ( https://www.gonzocart.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=290&language=en&currency=USD ), 2) used a zip tie to poke around the pressure sensor opening to loosen any food particles. you need a flexible thingy to reach into the opening of the sensor from the sump. 3) waited 24 hours 4) turned on the breaker....drain pump does stays off, no error code, operating panel displays normally. 5) ran the rinse cycle. the contents of the dishwasher backs up into the kitchen sink showing both the BIO CLEAN stuff and bits of salad. ran the disposal to clear, cycle finishes normally! drain pump does not later turn on by itself. SUCCESS so, guess i will have to preclean the plates and occasionally use the bio clean just in case.

  20. Door bellows had a tear so time to replace. I got the part number 134728400 which is the current part number for my machine ATF8000FS1. I got the old one on off, installed the new part, all went smooth except the back part is a little tough to get on, but I did it. Put everything back together and the washer door won't shut. I double checked my work and all was done correctly. The new one looked a little deeper then the one I took off. I checked the part number on the old one and it was stamped 134739800. I looked online and 134728400 (the new part I had) is the replacement for part number 134739800. Is there a trick? Is there a known issue? I checked on various sites and everyone says that the new one has replaced the old one. Any Ideas? Brian 134728400 is the replacement for part number 134739800 which is the part number stamped on the old bellows.
  21. I hope this an "allowed" post. If not let me know, and I'll or an admin can delete it. I am looking to replace my 23 year old Kenmore 25 cf SXS with a 2.5 year old Frigidaire FGHB2868TF4. For no other reason than I no longer like the SXS configuration. I'm losing a foot or so of freezer space, but I can deal with that. Why used? Two reasons. 1. Pre-owned/road tested. Any "infant mortality" failures have been (hopefully) worked out by this time. 2. Price. About 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a new one. The seller is a private sale 50 miles away. They say "it works great, the only reason we replaced it is because of a full kitchen remodel." I presume they are NOT using it now. So when I call and schedule a time to have a look-see. Do I have them plug it in ahead of time and cool it down, or is there something(s) I should look for, listen to etc before it's "cooled down". If I purchase it, I expect to transport it upright. Any advice welcome. Thank you.
